Case Scenario 1
In this scenario, the copyright issue that is involved is that Allie, the teacher, is making
copies of an activity book that the school has not adopted for their use. She made copies of one
page and distributed it to all of her students.
Fortunately, this is not illegal in her case as it is covered by the Fair Use policy. Since she
has purchased the book and is making copies for an education reason, it is covered under this
policy.
Creative commons would be beneficial to this situation because it provides freedoms and
opportunities to teachers. It allows them to legally go around some of the copyright laws in order
to provide a better education to their students.
