US ATTRACTION IN HONDURAS

14.8 percent of Americans are bellow the poverty line


while 59 percent of Hondurans are in the same financial
deficit.

Most Hondurans are small-scale farmers with average


income of only $1,700 per year. The average yearly
income in the US is $69,821, making this about 41 times
more than in Honduras.

Currently, the literacy rate in Honduras is 85.1 percent,


which is lower than the 99.99 percent in the US.

Reflects on the educational quality.

POVERTY IN HONDURAS

Honduras is the 2nd poorest country in Central America.

Poverty is prevalent in central hillside areas in the


interior highlands of Honduras, which are home to
about 75% of the rural population, including indigenous
groups.

About 28% of the country is agricultural land, and the


agricultural sector employs about 39 percent of the
population.
