RES 2015-0121 COUNCIL ACTION MEMORANDUM RE: RESOLUTION 2015-0121 — 2016 WASHINGTON STATE LEGISLATIVE AGENDA During its 6:00 p.m. Legislative Session held Monday, November 23, 2015, the Spokane City Council considered Resolution 2015-0121 regarding the adoption of the City of Spokane’s 2016 Washington State Legislative Agenda. Council Member Snyder provided an overview of Resolution 2015-0121 regarding the adoption of the City of Spokane’s 2016 Washington State Legislative Agenda. He proposed some language changes to one of the top priorities, which he received from the County. He first noted the Council is trying to be cooperative with the County on two items: one has to do with the sports-plex and the second has to do with mental health and substance abuse funding. Council Member Snyder stated he's been advised the Regional Support Networks are going to change names to Regional Behavioral Health Organizations, and so he proposed the Legislative Agenda be amended to read: “Changes to Regional Support Networks/Regional Behavioral Health Organizations..." Subsequently, the following action was taken: Motion by Council Member Snyder, seconded by Council Member Mumm, to make the text change (so it reads “Regional Support Networks/ Regional Behavioral Health Organizations’); carried unanimously (Council Member Allen absent). Subsequent to the opportunity for public testimony, with no individuals signed up to speak, and Council commentary, the following action was taken: Upon Unanimous Roll Call Vote (Council Member Allen absent), the City Council adopted Resolution 2015-0121 regarding the adoption of the City of Spokane's 2016 Washington State Legislative Agenda (as amended).
