Theplanningcardshelpedmestartorganizingmyideasforthelessonandalsoplan
thepagesofthepowerpointpresentation.Thepeerevaluationprovidedmesome
goodandmorecreativeideasthatIvenotthoughtabout.Otherpeoplecanactually
seewhatwearemissingwhilewemightnothaverealized.TAreviewwassimilar
withthepeerevaluation,butmoreprofessional.TheTAcouldtellmewhatrequired
itemsthatIamspecificallymissingratherthanjustgivingoutideasoradvices.
b)Whathaveyoulearnedabouttheinstructionalplanningprocessbasedonthe
completionofthisproject?Whatvaluedidtheplanningcardsandthepeerandopen
labTAevaluationhaveforyourproject?
Ithinkthisprojectteachesmealot.Fromjustthinkingaboutthelesson,planning
it,andtoactuallystartingdoingit,Ispentalotofefforts.Ivebeenthinkingabout
beingateacher,butneverthoughtabouthowharditistopreparealesson.Theproject
providesmeanopportunitytoactuallycreateanonlinelessonforchildren.Thisisfun
andIvelearnedaboutmanydetailsthatIshouldbecarefulaboutwhencreating
lessonforlittlekids.
c)WhichoftheISTEstandardsforteachershaveyouaddressedthroughthe
developmentofthisproject?Inwhatwayshavethesestandardsbeenmet?
1. Facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity
Ive been trying to think of some inspiring ideas and activities for
children to enhance their desire to learn and absorb new knowledge.
Also, in the Short Dance Assessment, I let students to come up
with creative ending of the dance show since I dont want them only
imitating the dance but also create some.
2.Design and develop digital age learning experiences and
assessments
For the Short Dance Assessment, I ask student to finally film their
performance and upload it on YouTube. I believe that students in the
digital age need to acquire the ability to use this kind of material.
