WN 9/17: Effects of Rhetorical Situations on Proposals

The audience of our proposal will be the iFixit team. This in turn structures the proposal in that
we will be addressing each requirement set by the iFixit team. The purpose of our iFixit proposal
is to request permission to create a guide for the electronic device. The proposal should be
written in a professional or formal matter to request permission to repair a certain electronic
device. In this scenario, we will be writing a proposal to address the iFixit team and requesting
permission to either begin or improve upon a guide. This rhetorical situation will shape our
proposal in that we will be writing in a formal matter, addressing various content in regards to
our assigned electronic device. The proposal will include information required by the iFixit team
such as what guide we will be writing for a specific device, a URL to show the guide for the
device, and several troubleshooting issues that pertain to the electronic device. Because we are
addressing the iFixit team, we will be addressing every requirement in order for the iFixit team
to accept our proposal to create new guides.
