Dear Judges:
I am now a senior at St. James, and I am so excited to graduate. I am only sixteen years old, and I
will only be seventeen when I graduate because I am graduating a year early. I have applied at
USC and hope to soon be admitted.
What motivated me to choose my topic was the future career I want. I want to go to school and
become a pharmacist. The Senior Exploration showed me that I want to be in compound
pharmacy rather than retail pharmacy, since I got to shadow both types of pharmacies with this
project.
Obtaining my service hours was honestly simple. I walked into Lees Inlet Apothecary and asked
Mr. Lee if I could shadow his pharmacy for a day or two and he said yes. I then went later in the
week to his pharmacy and shadowed them for 5 hours. The next day I went to his Compounding
Pharmacy, Pure Compounding, and I showed the pharmacist there for 3 hours that day.
I would like to thank you all for your voluntary time to come see my presentation. With this
project, I have grown as a person. Senior exploration made me branch out, on my own, and
speak with many members of my community and show matureness.
