Final Semester Reflection

This semester, I really think that my writing has improved through this RWS
1302 class. My writing goals when the semester began was to improve in writing
persuasive essay. I had weakness in writing that needs to persuade the audience to
how I think. I have achieved this through writing OP-ED.
The area of my writing that I feel I improved the most is citing the source in
APA style. I was always confused with APA style citation due to its difficulty.
However, Ms. falcon explained way of citation very clearly and this helped me a lot
when I did the assignments.
The assignment that I have enjoyed the most is OP-ED. This is because, as
previously explained, my goal was to improve in writing persuasive essay. The OPED assignment exactly gave me opportunity to achieve my goal. This is the reason
that I have enjoyed doing the OP-ED assignment.
I think we have discussed the concept of audience, purpose, use of ethos,
logos, and pathos in order to properly write in any kind of writing, especially
persuasive essay. Without knowing the audience or the purpose, one cannot write a
good and proper essay. Also, ethos, logos, and pathos allows the writer to appeal to
audience in order to persuade as how writer thinks. This is very important in any
writings.
I have learned how to write effectively in any writing. In the future, I will use
this in other classes when I have to write an essay. Even when I get job, writing
effectively allows me to appeal to who will appoint me in the job.

It was my first experience to use tumblr posts. I have always known blogs and
social medias that allows me to post online, but I did not know that tumblr post
exists. Honestly, the tumblr post did help doing the assignments since it is very easy
to use, but I don't think I will use it again. I didn't like the fact that there is not much
people use tumblr post to look at my post, as how the facebook works.
I really liked the class because not only it helped me improve in my writing,
but also I was able to meet different people in our class. Ms. falcon was very kind
when she taught us different ways of writing, citations, and other instructions. I will
always remember this class.
