San Serif or Serif (Colour:

Black)
Sans Serif or Serif would be good
fonts to use for my 2 page spread
as it looks modern and is very easy
to read, the font size is going to
very quite small so it needs to be
easy to read. I have chosen Black
as the colour as it wont distract
the reader and make it harder to
read. The complementally colour
could be White or Light Grey as
these colours wont distract
the reader and they both work well
with Black
Arial Black (Colour: Orange)
I think Arial Black would be a good
font for my smaller coverlines as it
is clear and easy to read from a
short distance. I chose Orange as
the colour as it conveys a Classic
Rock vibe to the reader (as guitars
back in the 1950s/1960s were a
Brown or orange colour). The
complementally colour could be a
dark red or dark brown as both
would make the font stand out and
Keep the Classic Rock Vibe
theme

Impact (Colour: Red)

Font/Col
our
Ideas

Impact may be a good font to use as it

mimics the controlled, aggressive
style that some Rock music features. I
think that it would stand as a font for
my main coverline (if I made a bit
bigger bigger). I chose the colour red
as it is a bright colour and also
reflects the anger that some rock
music has as Red can imply danger.
The complementally colour could be
White, Black or Grey as these colours
will make the text stand out more
(however it could make the text
harder to read)

Gill Sans Ultra Bold (Colour: Purple)

Gill San Ultra Bold may be a good font for me to
use for my Masthead as it is bold and stands out. It
is very clear so that when reading from a distance,
the target market will still be able to read it from
a distance. I chose Purple as the colour as it is bright
but it is always seen as a dark, evil colour which links
to the dark, evil music that some rock bands and artists
have written. The complementally colour could be Black
as will make the text stand out and it wont be harder to
read as the font is very clear
