Dear Hiring Manager,
I would like to express my interest in obtaining a position of Regional Sales Manager of Southern Minnesota. I come from a farming
family and am currently a partner in our family farm and am very familiar with your agricultural products. Through my background as
a farmer I understand the importance of Monsantos agricultural products and the benefits they have. My passion is finding ways to
make family farms more profitable and grow with the changing time in agriculture, and through the use of Monsanto products I
believe that this is possible for every family farm.
I obtained an Associates degree in Crop Production Sales and Technology at North Dakota State College of Science in May of 2014
and am currently pursuing my Bachelors degree in Crop and Weed Science at North Dakota State University, with an anticipated
graduation date of May of 2017. I am excited for the opportunity at a position like this this, and working with a company that is on the
cutting edge of agriculture has always been my dream. On my farm I have always used Monsanto products and I can relate to
customers through my experience as a farmer the benefits of each product and ways that they have also benefited myself. Some of the
related coursework I have done includes Crop Production, Soils Fertility and Fertilizers, Weed ID, Sugar Beet Production, and
Principles of Weed Science. I have also been in multiple field scouting classes and conducted field evaluations.
Although I have little experience in sales, I believe that the skills that I have obtained from classroom knowledge and experience from
farming will be a great addition to your sales team. My background will allow me to connect to growers on a personal level since I am
a farmer as well and will be able to build strong business relationships since I am also a user of the products that I would be selling. I
