I have found this computer to be very capable of meeting my needs. I use it for photo editing with both Photoshop and Lightroom.
Now I have only had this computer for around 3 weeks so not a whole lot of time for the bad to start happening but so far so good.
Setup was easy and straight forward once I figured out the new cords for connecting to the HD monitor ( I have beed using a
laptop for the past 5 years). the USB 3 is super fast compared to a USB 2, I didn't know what I was missing with my ... (readmore)

Yes, I would recommend this product

After playing with the DELL boot setting and resizing the Windows
partitions, I installed Xubuntu from DVD. I can now boot either. I also
installed a second hard drive and made ext4 and ntfs partitions.
Xubuntu can access Windows C:\ and the NTFS partitions, but Windows can access only the NTFS partition of the second hard
drive.
The computer is fast enough for everything I do. The Windows and Dell update process is very slow.

The Desktop I had was over 12 years old and was just not performing. I looked around and the Inspiron 3847 was more computer
for the $ I was willing to pay. I ended up having to replace some application software
