Journal 2: In Summary

My favorite part about this class was the ability to be creative. Into the Wild
was a highly compelling novel and I enjoyed delving further into its themes. Having
to discuss the novel, then apply it to our own lives helped to identify with Chris and
better understand him. I also liked the freedom to choose our topics for our final
inquiry, as well as how we wanted to portray it. Instead of having a structured
rubric, I appreciated having to think outside the box when writing my essay. Overall,
I enjoyed the class. It was a fair amount of work without being too easy or
overwhelming. As well as, having a curriculum where the work load was evenly
spaced.
