The purpose of this letter is to write a letter of recommendation regarding Nicole Nieto. Nicole was a student of mine in PPE 310 (Health Literacy for Schools). During the 2015 semester, Nicole accomplished the following tasks and achieved a high grade in my class. 1. Led her group in short activity breaks in which she presented in class. Specifically, while working within her collaborative group, she was able to get the class actively engaged and demonstrative effective classroom management skills, which I can see transfer to her classroom setting, which includes modifications for students with special needs and classroom safety. She can also demonstrate a video link to demonstrate her leading this activity in an active classroom if requested. 2. Nicole was the Hall of Fame winner for Signature Assignment outline, incorporates a healthy curriculum for schools by developing proposals for administration and other faculty involvement. These events include proposals, informed families, which are involved through workshops, as well as community involvement to raise the emphasis of the importance of healthy lifestyles. 3. Actively participated in group discussions regarding problem solving strategies that arose from the material presented. This collaborative approach demonstrates that Nicole will be able to work with peers at her position with a team-first attitude. Nicole has the ability observing and evaluating the elements of a healthy classroom to strengthen the student's ability to understand the importance of it as it relates to education and home. Please email if you have any further questions. Nicole will make a strong candidate for her first position as a teacher.
