I will be graduating in May of 2016 from Montana State University with a Secondary
English Education degree. I became aware of your schools job opportunity through
staff members in the school. Please see my attached resume with my qualifications
and assets.
Through extracurricular, professional, and academic experiences, I would bring forth
a unique array of ideas and strengths, as well as grounded and researched teaching
practices. While obtaining my degree at MSU I followed through with two practicum
placements and am finishing my student teaching placement, currently. I have also
substitute taught, coached students of both genders and of numerous grade levels,
taught an afterschool technology program, and tutored collegiate student athletes
in English. Additionally, I completed a semester of 30 plus independent observation
hours with hands-on teaching opportunities that focused on class discussions
around texts and student-centered learning best practices. I also was apart of a
doctorate dissertation research project that focused on service teacher
development and competency. During my student teaching and practicum
experiences I learned about literacy skills, classroom management, and studentcentered, creative, effective, and differentiated teaching methods that serves
students in productive learning cultures. I look forward to continuing to develop in
your school, positively impact young lives, and work in a team setting.
I will be in Lewistown, Montana visiting family the week of May 9 th-13th and could be
available at any point in time during that week to possibly meet and discuss job
