Crude Oil: Crude oil fell in Asia on Friday

with expectations for any demand
rebound thin in the face of significant
over supply. Ahead, the count of U.S.
rigs
by
industry
firm Baker
Hughes Incorporated (N:BHI) will likely
set the tone. On the New York
Mercantile Exchange, WTI crude for
January delivery fell 0.72% to $36.50
a barrel.
Natural Gas: Natural gas futures
extended gains on Thursday, after
data showed U.S. natural gas
supplies in storage fell more than
expected last week. The U.S. Energy
Information Administration said in its
weekly report that natural gas storage
in the U.S. in the week ended
December, compared to expectations
for a decline of 64 billion. Total U.S.
natural gas storage stood at 3.880
trillion cubic feet, 11.7% higher than
levels at this time a year ago and
6.1% above the five-year average for
this time of year.
