Surveying Fieldwork
Fieldwork for surveying laboratory, inside or outside campus activity must be done
with the supervision of the faculty-in-charge.
Proper orientation and training on the use of all surveying instruments must be
given by the faculty in- charge prior to their actual use.
Improper set-up of aluminum tripod may cause the main instrument to collapse.
Improper adjustment may also lead to damage of all adjustment knob of the
instrument.
Tape measure penetrated with any liquid may cause breakage of the fiberglass
material of the unit

Last semester, seven out of eight of our optical theodolite encountered foot screw
problem ( loose thread ) due to imprpoper adjustment during actual use.
One theodolite unit encountered broken vertical angle reading.
