CHAPTER 1: BEGINNING OF EVERYTHING

One day after school while the sun is tiring to shine the light.
Everyone prepares to go home or karaoke to relax from the hell of studyin
g. There is a group of tall boys surrounding the short brown-haired boy. I
said that I want the strawberry milk, not the coffee one. Do you hear me??
!! The leader of tall boys starts to shout at the short boy. Yes, the short b
oy is me. My name is Daison Heartnet. I have short, bright brown hair. I ha
ve dark ruby-red eyes. I am a short boy-only 159.3 cm tall. I am 17 years
old, and Im in grade 11. Im not good at studying or sports, so I get bullie
d by these punk guys. Hey! Are you listening to me? He shouts again wit
h more aggression. I dont listen to him at all, so I continue in silence.
This guy is making fun of me. Hey! Lets finish him! He orders to
the guys back there like a big boss. Suddenly, all the tall boys attack me.
Some of them punch me or kick me. Five versus one? Thats not fair. Still,

I stay down at the floor and get hit by them until they are bored of me,
and leave me like a loser dog.
Enough, guys. And make sure that you buy a strawberry milk for
me tomorrow. After he finishes ordering me, they leave me laying down
on the floor curling up from the pain.
Finally, theyre going away. I think to myself while hardly standing
up and walk painfully home. I hate this school. Everyone doesnt like me. I
dont know why. Because Im not smart? Because Im ugly? Thats stupid.
But, I have only one reason to come to school. Thats her. She is sitting in
the middle of the group of the girls, laughing with joyful. Her name is Alice
Mitwell. She is the most beautiful girl in the school. Even a guy who alread
y have a girlfriend have to falls to her. Many boys have asked her to go ou
t and date, but no one could win her heart. She has long, smoothly, blackhaired. Her dark aquarine eyes are shining upon the sun. Her laugh is brig
ht like a nitingales singing. She has a slim and tall shape with 165 cm(she
is taller than me!). She is good at studying and sports, contrast with me.
Moreover, she is very kind, even with me. She always greets and asks me
how am I doing. She is very nice to me. No way I can hate her. I want to te

ll how her how great my love I have for her. I know it can only be my drea
m, and never becomes true. Oh! By the way, its too late now. Its time to
go home.
The sky has changed from greyish-orange into dark black color. The
moon and the stars come up from the mountain and smile to me tonight.
Finally, Im home. My house is a small two floor-house, there is a little gar
den in front of the house and path to the front door. My house has a
greenish gray roof with white walls.
Mom! Im home!! I tell my mom who may sleeps in the living
room.
Ohh~ greatt~ do ya buy me a LEO? She asks while holding the
liquor in her left hand. She is an old lady with a messy hair like an Afro
staggeringly. She walks toward me with a stingy smell and she is drunk!
Sure, I answer after I drop the bag of LEO on the floor. Yes, LEO is
alcohol drink. Suddenly, she quickly dashes, grabs the bag of LEO, and
runs to her room. Thats scary but I get used to it. In this house, I only stay
with my mom, just two of us because my dad doesnt like my mom drunk
like this. So he left us and didnt come back. I dont blame my dad. I
understand him. Thats it! I have to go to my room, do homework, and
pray for tomorrow that the punk guys wont bully me again.

In the next day, my wish doesnt come true. The punk guys bully me
over and over again.
Daison, three burgers and one cola. Hurry! the same punk guys as
yesterday order me. I have to go to the cafeteria before the class starts in
five minutes, thats impossible. While I am opening the door, a mysterios
girl greets me.
Where are you going? a girl says, Hmm. who is talking to me? I
wonder. Oh! Thats Alice!! Youre going to be late for the next class, she
tells me with her soft voice.
What should I answer her!! I-I will go to buy them burgers. Umm,
that was delicious. What on earth am I answering her?! Does it look
stupid? Thats very embarrassing!
Then, you should hurry come back, Daison. Theres five minutes
left, she smiles and sits down at her table to prepare for the class. Im
very shy. I quickly sprint to the cafeteria with a red face. What am I going
to do? She is very cute! And she calls my name! Yeah!! Thank God Im
alive!!
I come back to the classroom before the bells ring. Sigh! Thank
goodness.
Okay! Listen everyone~ Miss Tarine, a middle age woman with a
mole under her nose, slaps the board with a marker to attract everyones
attention, You should introduce yourself, honey, said by Miss Tarine.
Good Morning, the boy who just came into the classroom says,
My name is Bluz Walter, nice to meet you, he says with a little smile on

his face. All of the girls in the class start to chat and gossip about his
handsome aura, which spreads around the room.
I mean hes not bad. He has short brown-haired and brown eyes. I
can also feel the warmth from his eyes. He has an attractive smile that
can make all the girls shy. Maybe he is 192 cm tall (he is very tall). If I
were a girl, I could probably fall into him. There is only one thing I get
annoyed about him is Alice!! She stares at him like I havent seen it
before. Tsk!
Hey! Daison, dont you think Im waiting for my burgers and cola?
the punk guys bawl at me.
Ah! Here! I have to be a good boy for now on.
Alright! That was a nice introduction, so you will be sitting right
next to him. Have a nice day, honey. Miss Tarine says it again. Did she
say that Bluz has to sit next to me? Argh! Why do I have to sit right next
to him? I hate when someone, who is very popular, sits next to me
because that will make me look more stupid than before!
Is there something on my face? he asks me while tapping on his
phone.
Nothing! Maybe I stares at him too much.
Hey! Daison, what did you buy for us? the punk guys again.
Sorry, maybe next time, I tell BIuz that Im busy, then I go to the
punk guys and get complained about their lunch.
Hi! Nice to meet you, Bluz, Do you have any girlfriend? Too
bad! The guy next to you is stupid. Those are sentences that they use to

greet their new friend, Bluz. In a couple days, he becomes one of popular
guys in the school.
Wow! Hes amazing! Hes very handsome, everybody gossips
about Bluz. That is very annoying. Its going to make my head explodes. I
am jealous of him. He has all the things I want. He can do everything. He
has everything that I dont, even Alice start to grow a relationship with
him. Tsk! Now Im watching a very handsome boy, Bluz, and a very
beautiful girl, Alice, standing side by side. It hurts me inside. At the first
time, I think I am happy watching Alice from the far away place, but now
its different. I dont want to see it anymore! I run away as fast as I could,
but I stumble over my socks like I crawl on the floor to catch a frog. That
hurt!
Haha! Nice catch, Daison, some guy taunts me. I cant hold it
anymore!!
After school, after everyone goes home. I have to buy some snacks
for the punk guys again. But this time I forget to buy them, because I am
thinking about Alice all the time.
Im really get annoyed by the new kid, but now, I have to punish
you for not bringing me a snack first! the leader of the punk guys starts
to kick me and attacks me.
Argh! It still hurt from yesterday!! I hate it. I hate my suck life.
Cough! Cough! I start to cough because its hurt, both inside and
outside. Sigh! Today is suck again. I walk back to the classroom to pack
my things up. I slowly open the door and I find a handsome boy sitting

over the table, tapping on his phone, patiently, like he is waiting for
someone.
What are you doing? I ask Bluz and destroy the uncomfortable
atmosphere.
Umm, maybe play games? he answers while still tapping on his
phone. Ah! Why are you look very bad? he looks up at me surprisingly
and asks.
Nothing special, I dont want to see his face so I turn away.
But your nose is bleeding! he still doesnt give up and reaches his
hand to me.
I said, do not touch me!! I shout at him angrily. You are lucky, you
are a good man, and you are popular. I start to sob quietly because I
dont like him standing beside Alice. That makes me feel very annoyed, If
I could have everything that you have, that would be great. I stop to take
a breath and continue to say, I want to be like you and I have a better
life!!
If you can change anything you want, do you want it? He asks all
in sudden after listens a stupid story from me.
What are you talking about? I look up to him slowly. I dont
understand what is he trying to say.
He smiles ambiguously, First, do you dare to play a game?
What? I still dont understand the meaning of what is he trying to
say. If a person can easily change his life, I would rather do it before!
I mean all the truths around us are very disgusting, he glimpses at
me for a second and continues, Because I smile handsomely and take

care of the others like a great gentleman, then I got many friends and
became popular. Thats obviously opposite from you. You dont have
anything good in your life, and you dont have any friends, everyone hates
you, am I right? He faces me with more seriousness. His eyes are full with
hatred. I am stunned. His personality changes into dark mode. Ive never
seen this before.
Hmph! Think along with me. What will happen if you change into a
handsome boy and be popular? What will happen if you are famous and
the punk guys dont tease you anymore? It would be better if you were
born in the right place. If it is easy like a video game, what do you think?
He just tells me an unbelievable story.
What are you trying to make me understand is, all that things can
become true? I am asking for sure.
If I say it is possible, will you believe that? He smiles again with
more evilness in his eyes.
How? I want to see what is the thing he wants to show me. He put
his hand into the pocket slowly and suddenly there is a sound from the
door.
Sorry, Ive just finished my club, said from someone who
interrupts our conversation and just enter in the room, Alice. Bluz and I
are very surprise that Alice suddenly entered the room. As I see, she has
just finished the choir club activity in the evening. Thats mean; Bluz is
waiting for Alice to finish her club and walk home together!
Hmm? Are you guys fighting with each other? Alice asks with
curiously. Oh! I forgot that I have a nose bleeding and wound on my face.

No, we just playing some games, waiting for you to come, Bluz
widely smile to Alice. Again, this picture again. Bluz and Alice smile to
each other like they are in love. I dont want to see it!
I-I-Ill go home now! See you tomorrow, I quickly dash away from
the classroom and go home.
Hey! Daison, wait! Bluz calls me, but I dont turn back.
Nothing bad happens between you and Daison, right? Alice still
asks without giving up.
Ah! There is nothing to be worried. By the way, lets go home,
Alice. Bluz softly smiles to Alice again.
Okay, Ill pack up just a minute, Alice says and then turns around
to pack her things up.
Drrrrr, Drrrrr, a sound from Bluzs phone tells him that someone is
texting to him.
Its the first time you fail the quest, right? Ha Ha, Im very
impressed! You have to complete this quest! says the message.
Tsk! Bluz curses a bad word in his mind.
Is it a message, from whom? asks Alice.
Ah! Yeah! My friends told me not to forget the movie tonight, Bluz
answers her question.
Do you want to change the quest or continue? says the message
again.
Im finish! Alice blurts out.
Okay, lets go home, Bluz holds her hand and walks back home
together.

I am running out from the classroom, and I dont know what is going
to happen to me. I dont have any idea how Bluzs word on that day will
change my life.
I run, run, and run until Ive got home. I quickly run up to my room
and then shut the door down. I try to forget whats going on between Alice
and Bluz. I am stupid! I shouldnt think any further. Maybe their houses
are just in the same way. So they walk home together.
I look into the mirror, which is hung on the wall. I see myself, which
is full of wounds, a shape that looks like an idiot, a personality that is very
shy, and a loser look. What a thing on earth can change all of these?
Bang! Bang! Daison! Open the door!! someone shouts from the
other side of the door and tells me to open it.
Mom! Wait a minute! I hurriedly open the door for mom. You are
drunk again, right?! I ask my mom who just comes back home.
I just went out to find a little happiness, and Im not drunk! Its
none of your business, my mom yells at me. Maybe I have to keep quiet
sometime.
Alright! I trust you. Lets go to bed, mom. Its time to sleep, I lift
her up and bring her to the bedroom. Goodnight, mom, I shut the door
down quietly. Its impossible to easily change everything in my life!
Next day at school, I am on the way to change my clothes to learn
PE class. Sigh! Long way to go.
Good morning, Daison, the soft voice greets me sweetly in the
morning. Thats a girl named Alice. Wait a minute! Why do I have to meet
her right now!

Uh, hi! I try to avoid her.
Wait! Did Bluz do anything to you yesterday? Why did you dash out
all of sudden? You made me worried, you know? Alice tells me with her
tied eyebrows on her face. I cant bring myself to answer her question. I
was excited. She calls my name!
Nothing at all, I shake my head quickly.
Really? But you get hurt. See? Your face has a wound, she still
asks while reaching her hand to touch my face.
Ah! Thats one I have got from fall off the ladder, I tell her and
dodge her hand abashedly.
Ah! Umm, thank you for worrying about me, I am scratching my
head while say thank you to her.
Im glad you are all right, Daison, she says with a kindly voice and
a gentle smile. It gives me a strange feeling. It makes me want to know
the relationship between Alice and Bluz. I want to make sure whats going
on to my heart.
Arr. Alice, between you and I try to ask her and then,
Hey! There are some guys fighting on the deck of the building!!
the boy shouts and he runs pass by. They said that the new student is
fighting, too! Really? Hurry, I dont want to miss the best shot, three
boys run up to the deck. Alice hastily runs after those three boys and
leaves me behind.
Alice! Wait for me! I try to chase after her, but I fall over the stairs.
Wait, the new student? Is that Bluz? If Im right, Alice would be very worry
and she would not be happy. Tsk! What are you doing, Bluz? Now you are

the talk of the town in this school. And Alice, you are very mean to me.
You dont even turn back to me when I fall from the stairs. How can you do
that to me!
Now I walk through the bustle students to get into the middle. Oh!
There she is, Alice. Alice!! I call her from the back.
Daison! Sorry, I didnt mean to leave you behind. Im just feeling
not so good, so I hurriedly come, she tells me with a very nervous face
and her tied eyebrows on her beauty face.
Dont worry about me. By the way, whats going on at the deck? I
ask her before the skinny guy suddenly stands up to block the way to the
deck.
You guys, you are not allowed to go upstairs. He says with a
shivering voice. They said that if anyone gets up there or tells the
teachers, they will kill you, he continues to stop us from going upstairs.
Suddenly, there are voices from upstairs. Arghhhhh! Banggg! CRASH!!!!
Punch!
I cant hold this anymore! Please let me go upstairs to stop them. I
dont want to see anyone gets hurt. Alice begs the skinny man to open
the way. Please, someone help me, she looks around and no one gazes
at her. Alright! Then, I will go by myself! she says and trudges to the first
step.
No, you dont have to, I stop her and say. I-I am their friends, you
know? And, uhh, maybe I can stop the fight? D-D-D-Dont worry, Alice.
What on earth am I doing? I cannot stop my hand from shaking. Its like I
am standing in the middle of the earthquake! I turn and look at Alices

face before I go. Her face can tell me how worrying she is about me. I-Ill
go now I say to her shakily.
Thank you, Daison, she quietly whispers to me with her sweet
voice.
I slowly open the deck door to see what is happening. Isee all the
punk guys, which once treat me like a dog, lie down on the floor with
bleeding wounds and they painful cry. In the middle, I see Bluz stands and
huffs with a little pain. How did he do that? He glances at me for a second
and hides something into his pocket. I start to ask him, Are you okay?
What do you mean? he asks me back like he didnt do anything
weird.
You defeated all of these punk guys down by yourself? I ask him
while I am walking toward him. I wonder, if Alice come upstairs and see
what Bluz has done, what her face will look like.
You, bastard! You are not human!! one of the punk guys doesnt
give up and catches Bluzs leg. Suddenly, Bluz cruelly steps on his hand.
Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! the punk guy cries out painfully.
What are you saying, ? Bluz hardly kicks at him three times, and
stomps on him, and he doesnt seem to stop.
Stop! Stop! You dont see? He is nearly died? I shout to make him
stop, and it works! He stops and turns to me calmly. By the way, it is
really strange about what you told me yesterday. What are you thinking
and planning to do? I ask him again to stop him from hitting that guy and
focus on me.

He walks pass me and then he turns around to say, Dont you think
life is a wonderful game?
Drrrrrrr, Drrrrrrr, his phone is shaking because of the text
message. The quest is completed!! Congratulation! Your reward is five...
He smiles to himself and walks back to the door.
Wait, hey! Come back and tell me everything! I run after him, and
I hope hell tell me the truth, but everyone surrounds him before I can get
my answer.
You are awesome, man. How could you defeat them all? You are
very handsome, Bluz You didnt get hurt, right? Everyone starts to
praise him like he is a hero. That makes me very annoyed, but not as
much as Alice. She walks toward him and smiles. Then, they walk away
while holding each other hands. That was crazy! Everybody forgets about
me, who go upstairs and bring him back. Im very jealous! If life is a game,
I could only be a NPC, who couldnt upgrade myself. And last, it is only a
suck game. Alice can only see him on the handsome side, but I can see his
evil and dark side. I cant accept that! I will reveal your secret to protect
Alice, no matter what!!
