I am proud to recommend Ms ., Jane, for the postgraduate programme in

PhD.at the University of . As a head of the department, a co-senior
project supervisor, and a laboratory supervisor of her study, I have the opportunity to observe
Janes academic ability well enough to provide a good evaluation of her potential. Additionally, I
also know Jane in person as a friend in tennis court.
During the years that she has been at our department, she was recognized as a quick learner and
responsible student. The most outstanding quality that I observed in Jane is an interpersonal and
leadership skill, which, consequently, always made her group assignments well-organized, neat
and timely. Besides engineering study, Jane is always interested in various fields of studies; her
excellent records in Organization, Money and Banking, and Industrial Management courses may
reflect her talents better than words. In addition, Jane often sought for challenges for her life and
joined in a couple of clubs. She easily fitted in every society and has developed herself a lot from
those non-academic activities.
Janes education record is fine compared to those of our students and, given that our institution is
one of the best and most competitive engineering schools in Asia, I believe that her academic
ability is among the top of Thai students. Furthermore, Jane seems to have had interest in field of
business since her undergraduate study. Her work experience also shows the evidence of her
motivation for pursuing master in business study; the aim to integrate the knowledge in
engineering with the understanding of business management.
With her enthusiasm and strong determination to pursue postgraduate study in this field, I
