Dear Joshua:
Tam pleased to have the opportunity to write on your behalf as you near completion of the
AS in Nursing program.
Thave known Joshua for the two years he has been in the program. I also had the
opportunity to serve as the lead instructor for his first Medical-Surgical course last fall.
Joshua was consistent in his classroom attendance and well prepared for every lab and
clinical experience. He consistently obtained among the highest grades in the course.
Joshua served as an informal leader for the class throughout that semester. He thoughtfully
asked questions about class content and material and assisted his peers when necessary. He
‘was also able to maintain a professional attitude and calm affect. These will be great skills
as he enters the workforce or continues with his education. He is strongly encouraged to
continue to the master’s level if not beyond in nursing.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should additional information be needed. I may be
reached by e-mail at kboyer@hawaii.edu or at 734.9302 at any time.
‘To any agency or educational institution, thank you for considering this strong applicant to
join your agency or program.
