Starter activity:
Students were seated on the floor. I played
with my students a small game for five
minutes it was called I spy. So I said I spy
something that starts with sound B and
students will look around in the class
finding words with the first letter sound
B.
Then I wrote some unscrambled words and
I asked them can you make a word out of
these letters. It was hard for them in the
beginning as it was their first time doing
unscrambled words. We practiced few on
the board I wrote unscrambled words and
the students scrambled them.
Later students solved page 27 part A which
was unscrambling words. As a guide for
students with low ability I provided some
pictures as a hint for them on the board.

I grouped my students in fives. Then I gave


each group eight pictures and eight empty
cards. I asked them to name each picture
and match it with its picture.
Then I had prepared six pictures we played
a small game which was I show them the
picture. And they name the picture and
recall the spelling in groups.
Later students were asked to solve page
27 part B which was looking at the pictures
and naming the objects. They worked in
groups to help each other while I monitor
them and guide them when they need any
guidance.
