In a virtual classroom, there isn't much student-student communication. Implementing a discussion question board would be important for a distance educator. There are so many neat programs that teachers can use to make videos, and screen cast, and avatars.

I think that being a distance educator would be hard.
Mostly because there are so many
questions that get asked in a typical classroom that it would be difficult to know if students are actually understanding the content because there arent any obvious looks of confusion. There are so many neat programs that teachers can use to make videos, and screen cast, and avatars, but I think that student communication is still most important. In a normal classroom students make friends with each other and they can figure out some smaller questions amongst themselves, in a virtual classroom, there isnt much student-student communication and it is rare that students know each other. That actually makes this class really hard because I dont know any of the other students, so when we email and dont get a response, I dont have any one to ask. So I think that implementing a discussion question board would be really important for a distance learning teacher, because that way they wouldnt have as many questions to answer over and over, they could be addressed where everyone could read them.
