Sunshine beams o of the white coat covering the hillside,

but it is an invigorating breath of 4 air that fills his lungs. The
peak is quiet, except for the whistling of the wind and the flap of
the green and white flag beside him. He stands, poised on the
precipice of the black diamond, ready. At 11,000 ft. among the
Rockies of Aspen Colorado, Matt Jackson is in paradise.
Matt is the Senior Ocer for the Michigan State Spartan
Ski Club (SSC). A student led organization, the SSC is comprised
of over 1,000 students. Together, these students hit the slopes
around the country as they enjoy their shared passion.
Last year, almost 500 skiers and snowboarders from the
club ventured to Aspen Colorado for a week on some of the best
terrain the United States has to oer. This year the club has set its
eyes set on Keystone, CO. where Jackson says they hope to meet
up with the Purdue Ski Club. Together the clubs will oer
coordinated events and even a concert.
The Spartan Ski Club opens its membership to enthusiasts
at all skill levels. SSC consists of members with a range of skills,
and can oer assistance to beginners as well as seasoned shredders.
It doesn't matter who you are or where you're from, says Matt
Jackson. The club is open to anyone who wants to have a good
time.
