Formal Outline for Essay #3

I.

Introduction
a. Start broad How can I explain happiness? Ive wondered this for some time. Im
desperate to find the right words, and phrases so its easy to understand and apply.
However, this topic is not easy for people that are closest to me in my life. One
may think theyre happy, but their actions show the opposite.
b. Begin to narrow topic With just six short years working in the fitness Industry,
Ive seen a lot of unhappy people. These people are seeking for health, happiness
and longevity. However, what I see are judgmental, selfish, and without any selfesteem. Could they be comparing themselves too much to the next person? Are
they not happy with who and what they are? In fact, I could go on and on asking
questions to these folks, however, this essay is not about seeking out why some
may be unhappy. Ill be focusing on what can one do to find a little peace and
happiness.
c. Explicit thesis statement Most of us can achieve temporary happiness by
eating our favorite meal, or watching a funny movie. Although some find it
very difficult to be happy in everyday lives. Is there a formula to happiness?
Is it possible to achieve daily and long lasting happiness living by a few
simple steps? Some Doctors and fitness celebrities believe that a daily
regimen of sunshine, exercise and a balanced diet will ensure a happy,
positive life and may even help aide symptoms of depression.
