Com m unity College to acquire general education requirem ents to then trans fer to a 4year univers ity purs ing
Photography. Succes s fully com pleting general education requirem ents at Gateway Com m unity College will help aid
(The Student) in preparing to go to a 4year univers ity and will give his/her experience in the college's Arts & Humanities .
Thiswill s tart his/her pos ts econdary education to become a Photographer. (The Student) will being looking for s um mer
interns hips and local com m unity opportunities to refine her photography s kills.
Education:
The general education teacher will provide direct ins truction in Writing and Englis h to m as ter the appropriate s kills
needed to s ucceed at Gateway Com m unity College. The s pecial education teacher will provide s am ple application es
s ays and SAT to s ucces s fully m eet requirem ents for acceptance at a future 4year univers ity. The s pecial education
team will
provide (The Student) with s upport in writing and m ath s kills , both required s kills to becom e a s uces s ful Photographer.
Employment:
All em ploym ent opportunities , part tim e, volunteer, paid, or an interns hip will be procured by (The Student). The MET
members , as well as the College Going Couns eler, m ay provide inform ation and find opportunities for (The Student),
but maintaining profes sional attendance and relations hips at thes e opportunities are at (The Student) res pons ibility.

(The Student) wants to graduate High School and attend Gateway Com m unity College to receive general education
credits . (The Student) is pas s ionate about photography and would like to go into a photography career. In order for (The
Student) to do this , he/s he will need to trans fer to a 4year univers ity after earning 1560 credits at com m unity college.
H e / She will then need to purs ue a Bachelor of Arts degree program in Photography. (The Student) did res earch about
becom ing a photographer via Career OneStop. H e / She learned that over 40% of photographers in the field have
earned a Bachelors degree. One of the m ajor s kills of being a photographer include knowledge of the s tructure and
content of the Englis h language including the m eaning and s pelling of words , rules of com pos ition, and gram m ar.
(The Student) is continuing to im prove on his/her Englis h language s kills . If he/s he continues to have an interes t
throughout high s chool and works hard to progres s his/her photography s kills in college, he/s he will flouris h as a
photographer.
