Scope:Thisdocumentlaysdownguidelinesforidentifyinghazardsandestablishingcontrolmeasures
inE&PIndustrythroughoutthelifecyclei.e.Geosciencesrelatedfieldactivities,drilling,production,well
servicing,abandonmentandrelatedoperations;bothonlandandoffshore,inexistinginstallations,with
focusonqualitativeriskassessment.Thisdocumentshouldalsobereferredduringdesignstageofnew
E&Pinstallations.
2)OISDGDN233Guidelinesoninspectionofonlandnonpiggablepipeline.
Scope : This guideline shall be applicable in all hydrocarbon industry in upstream and downstream
sector for all sizes (2 diameter and above) of underground and over ground nonpiggable pipelines
(excluding pipelines within Refineries, Petrochemicals manufacturing, Gas processing plants, POL and
LPG,LNGterminals)laidfortransferofCrudeoil/Petroleumproduct/Naturalgas/LiquefiedPetroleum
Gas(LPG)andanyotherliquidorgaseoushydrocarbonfromonepointtoanotherpointincludingwell
flow lines and water injection lines and are non piggable. For piping, valves and fittings within the
installation,OISDStd130shallbefollowed.Theseguidelinesshallbeapplicabletoallexistingandnew
pipelineswithimmediateeffect.Theseguidelinesarenotapplicableforpiggablepipeline.Forpiggable
pipelineprovisionsgiveninOISDStd141,OISDStd214andOISDStd226shallbefollowed.
