Essential Question: To investigate how Earth and its inhabitants have changed over time
Questions:

Notes:

What were they like in the

past
`

Scientists believe that a long time ago a water breathing animal came onto land
and adapted over many generations of its offspring
They used Natural selection to be able to do this.
Overtime there were many species that died off or became extinct because they
were not the fittest like Mammoths
The ones that did survive kept adapting to their environments
It all started with the Earth being formed which grew life only in the sea which
came onto landed then branching off into other unknown species but then it
comes all the way to present species like us humans
Humans are traced and said to be related to chimps and monkeys there is a
trace in DNA
This means that humans and monkeys branched off a common ancestor
Thats why we are so closely related to them .

Summary: Species changed over the course of time. Or this is at least on Earth they adapt to surrounding
environments. This causes them to evolve over generations and branch off into different species. This soon led to
all present day species like humans. Everything has the same common ancestor so we know that everything had
to evolve
