Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE
This act may be cited as the Customer Rights Act of 2015.
SECTION 2. FINDINGS
Congress hereby finds and declares that,
1) Employees are not able to fulfill their job requirements due to religious values- Kim Davis, county clerk in Kentucky,
refused to marriage a same-sex couple.
2) Only 21 states have laws banning companies from discriminating against employees based on sexual preference.
3) Indiana and Arkansas passed a religious freedom bill that encourages anti-gay discrimination.
4) "The number of countries where harassment or intimidation of specific religious groups took place rose from 147 as of
mid-2009, to 160 as of mid-2010."(.state.gov.)
5) Many Christians are discriminated and persecuted in Syria.
6) France passed an anti-veil law that restricts girls to wear veils in public.
7) The EEOC received 3,811 religion-based complaints in fiscal 2012.
8) Businesses discriminate religious wear-Abercrombie fired a Muslim employee, Umme-Hani Khan, for wearing a hijab
since it violated the companys Look Policy dress code.
9) Pharmacies in 25 states refuse to fill up birth control due to religious values.
10) Senate did not pass Every Child Achieves Act that helps protect LGBT students in schools.
SECTION 3. STATUTORY LANGUAGE
A) Hereby state that businesses cannot refuse service to customers due to religious values and beliefs
B) This measure does not authorize funding from the federal or state government
C) There will be three counts before a business is terminated or business owner(s) and employee(s) are sentenced to five
years in federal prison
D) The first count of breaking this law is a fine of $700
E) The second count of breaking this law is a fine of $1,150
F) The third count of breaking this law is termination of the business and sentencing business owner(s) and employee(s)
who broke this law a three year term in federal prison
G) The date of enactment is January 1, 2017. This bill shall be re-evaluated four years after it is passed.
