Learning Target: I can rock the Summative

Test for Unit #2.
1) Brain Buzzer: None. Clear your desk except for
something to write with.
2) Rock the Summative Test. (You will have two class
periods to complete the test.)

Features of a poem:
One of them is that poems can
rhyme
A poem rhymes when the sounds at
the ends of lines sounds the same.
I have a dog
He is a hog
Because of that, he tripped on a log

These lines rhyme because the last

sound of each line is the og sound

Sadly, this is what I thought rhyme

scheme meant in 2nd grade:

I saw a

Bee

Yes I did see

A bee

ABCB doesnt mean that each of those

lines have to end with the sound of
that letter.
It just means that the only lines that
rhyme, are the ones with the same
letter.

Example:
A

The dog was mad

B
C
B

The cat ran away

My brother is stupid
What else can I say
