principles and strategies for communicating effectively

in varied teaching and learning contexts.
The teacher understands the context to interact with
the students depending on the environment of the
classroom. The teacher is also able to effectively get
lessons across to the students using different
strategies and methods.
Competency 008: The teacher provides appropriate
instruction that actively engages students in the
learning process.
The teacher takes appropriate actions to make the
learning fun and engaging to the students in order for
the learning process to become easier for the pupil.
Competency 011: The teacher understands the
importance of family involvement in childrens
education and knows how to interact and
communicate effectively with parents.
The teacher knows to be engaged with the parents or
guardians of each student. Communication with the
legal guardians is important in the growth of the
students

Competency 012: The teacher enhances professional

knowledge and skills by effectively interacting with
other members of the professional community and
participating in various types of professional activities.
The teacher does not seclude themselves from the
rest of the education community. The teacher remains
active in different activities to stay current with the
knowledge and skills of the profession.
Competency 013: The teacher understands and
adheres to legal and ethical requirements for
educators and is knowledgeable of the structure of
education in Texas.

The teacher knows the basis for the legality of the

teaching profession and remains to undergo it. The
teacher also shows great dedication through their
teaching to the Texas rules and regulations of the job.
