With the current climate change happening across the globe, natural
disasters are occurring more and more frequently. Yasmeen Lari is a
Pakistani architect who designs disaster relief shelters using vernacular
techniques and local materials. Her houses are eco-friendly and are simple
enough for people to build themselves. Sustainable shelters are needed for
the future, and Yasmeen Lari is a pioneer leading the way.
However, these low-cost, environmentally friendly, and sustainable shelters
house people who need energy to survive and rebuild their communities. To
this end, we therefore task you to help develop an energy plan which will be
able to support the communities in these shelters.
Essential elements of your energy plan are energy sources for each
individual phase of the plan, as well as the mathematics associated with the
energy source and conversion at each phase. Benefits of energy sources at
each particular phase are also needed.
