Mandatory Essay

I have two post-graduate career goals. My first goal is to contribute in Indonesias mining/energy
industry by achieving a top managerial position in a multinational corporation operates in this
industry, progressing from where I left off in my career. My second goal is, while fulfilling my
first goal, to start up an enterprise with a good system providing engineering services to
manufacturing industry. The company will operate in 3D design of polymer materials as I
believe polymer is the materials of the future. I have a vision and have established networks
during my undergraduate study and full-time work experience but I still need to enhance my
knowledge and skills in business management, which become my main motives to pursue this
program. One of my highest aspirations is to be one of those who establishes and significantly
advances a corporation. I believe on my way to achieve these goals I will also express my talents
in engineering and contribute to societys prosperity.
As Bachelor of Engineering, I can operate well in a smelter/factory or oil and gas industry as a
metallurgist or engineer. I have good analytical skill in planning and forecasting smelters
production needs. Beyond that, I have good communication and managerial skills.
In my current company, I have successfully managed a division consist of 50 people. I
implemented 3 shifts work system to boost production and reduce overtime. I was responsible
for our facility to received compliant letter from Conflict-Free Sourcing Initiative (CFSI).
