Scout Carlson is a senior at Northgate High School in Walnut Creek,

California. She participates in choral programs, track and field, and the
Sports Medicine program at Northgate as well as a musical theater
company and a number of local charities. Carlson hopes to attend college
in Santa Barbara or Davis next year where she will begin her long journey
of becoming a cardiologist. In the future, when Carlson is not working at a
hospital, she plans to star in local musical theater productions as well as
earning a pilot license. She believes in the importance of helping others
along with helping the Earth and hopes a bill similar to hers will be passed
someday.
