The Oil Technologists’ Association of India (OTAl) established in
1940, is a pioneer International Association in the field of Oils, Soaps,

The Oil Technologists’ Association of India, Western Zone (OTAI-W2) was established
in 1960 under the leadership of late Prof. J. G. Kane. The OTAI-WZ which is largest
amongst all zone has played an active role in furthering the objectives of the
Association since inception. The zone has organized over 20 refresher courses /
workshops and 40 seminars on national and international scale from 1968.
The OTAI-W2 owes its present eminent position to the inspiring leadership
and guidance of the distinguished personalities who served as its Presidents,
namely late Prof. J. G. Kane, late Dr. B. P. Godrej, late Dr. C. B. Khanpara,
late Dr. S. M. Patel, late Prof.D. Rebello, late Prof. V. V. R. Subrahmanyam,
