During University Day on October 1st, 2015, I visited to university booths which
were University of California. Los Angeles and University of California, Berkeley.
Campus Life at UCLA is not just atmosphere on campus and the location; UCLA is a
mini-metropolis brimming with possibilities. The campus has solar water heating panels
and community-supported agriculture to a student-run organic garden. The Hill at
UCLA overlooks many of the classrooms, libraries, and labs. One of the best aspects of
UCLA campus is the student diversity. Meeting people across the world allows student to
become global individuals open to different cultures and experiences. UCLA offers
financial support based on need, academic merit, background, specific talents, or
professional interest. Some grants include, University of California Blue and Gold
Opportunity Plan, Pell Grants, Supplemental Educational Grants, Cal Grants, and Middle
Class Scholarship.
UC Berkeley offers transfers, from all socioeconomic, cultural and geographic
backgrounds, the opportunity to achieve their greatest potential. Studies prove that
community college students who enter perform on a high level academically and socially
at the Berkeley Campus. UCLA had 17,239 applicants from 2015 admitted student
profile. The range of applicants in 2015 were from 3.66 - 4.0 GPA. Junior transfer

admission is limited to student who have completed at least 60 UC-transferable units. UC

Berkeleys admittance rate is 22% in 2015.
