Final Project: Extended Video
For my final project I decided to create an extended cut of my original video. The project
features an in-depth look into the effects that streaming services have on all facets of the music
industry and how these effects have been accepted by producers, artists, and consumers. Unlike
most videos covering the topic, however, mine focuses most heavily on the opinions of the
consumer, their reactions when given details about the effects of streaming, and their predictions
about the future state of the industry. In the longer version, I fixed the volume issues and shaky
transitions, added more context pertaining to the video that my interviewees watched prior to
their interviews, and added additional footage of those interviews. I also took a more concrete
stance in favor of streaming services and their inevitable domination of the music industry, and
added a stronger conclusion.
