He was a late bloomer.
He reached full maturity as a painter only when he was 40 years old.
Before that he would learn along side Abanindranath.
The Dakshin er baranda of Jorasanko was their initial studio.
His initial days portray landscapes.
His experimentation with forms started in his matured phase after 40.
During his matured Phase we will see his experimentation with shapes.
Along with shapes he gained supreme control over chiaroscuro effect.
