Alfred Doolittle is Eliza's father.

He is poor and wants to get some money for letting her stay with
professor Higgins. Professor doesn't want to pay him and tells him to take her away. He also says
that he has sent Eliza to him. Doolittle says that he hasn't seen Eliza in two months, but that the
boy she has sent for her luggage has told him where she is. He has brought her things and
professor Higins tells him again to take her back again. But the housekeeper has burnt all of her
clothes, so she can't go now.
