General Refilling Process (Demo)

Printer: Canon 6000 series
When taking cartridge out of the printer, make
sure to seal the ink outlet with Scotch tape before
refilling the ink.

Make a needle hole on top upper right-hand


corner of the ink reservoir. Dont make hole too
big.

Refill ink slowly. Do not fill the ink to exceed the


level of the hole you just made.

After fully refilling the reservoir, clean the


surface with a dry paper towel and seal the
refilling hole with Scotch tape.

After refilling th e ink and sealing the refilling


hole, the cartridge looks like this.

Remove the tape from the original ink outlet


before inserting the refilled cartridge into the
printer. Wipe the ink outlet with a paper towel
for any leaks.

Printer: Canon 4000

On the bottom of the cartridge you will see


ink refilling hole/s. Do not pierce the needle
into the refilling hole/s. Hold the needle point
just above the refilling hole/s and release the
ink drop by drop into the refilling hole/s.
The refilling hole/s has a filter which will
absorb the refilling ink.
Same procedure as Color ink cartridge

Take the cartridge out of the printer, and clean


the residual ink with a dry paper towel and seal
the original ink outlet with the Scotch tape to
prevent any leaking when refilling the cartridge.

Tear off the top hot-sealed original film from


the cartridge. You will notice a color chamber
refilling hole for each color. Be careful NOT
to refill ink into the wrong color chamber. For
grey-colored cartridges you can check ink color
with a cotton bud or tooth pick.

Pierce the needle into the rear refilling hole


of the color chamber. Refill the ink SLOWLY
to prevent any formation of air bubbles.

After refilling the ink, only seal the refiling


holes of the color chambers with Scotch tape.
DO NOT SEAL THE ENTIRE TOP COVER.
Tap the refilled cartridge few times to remove
any trapped air inside the cartridge.

Remove the tape from the original ink outlet.


Please use a dry paper towel to wipe any
leakage from the outlet and before inserting the
cartridge into the printer.
It is suggested not to use this refilled cartridge
immediately after refilling

Remove te top rubber ball bearing from the hole


in the cap by using a thumb tack.

Pierce the refilling needle into this hole.


Do not insert the needle too deep to avoid
punctuating the air bag inside. Place a dry
paper towel under the original ink outlet when
refilling ink to absorb any leakage.

Use a syringe with a special rubber attachment


and place it into the Aperture C located in
the bottom of the cartridge as shown in the
above picture, to suck out any air bubbles in the
cartridge.
If the air is not sucked out completely the
cartridge might leak.

Place the ball bearing into its original


position in the plastic cap.

Check the ink outlet with a dry paper towel


to ensure the ink is flowing.
In case of continuous leakage, repeat Step 3
to remove any remaining air bubbles.

For Color Ink Cartridge

The filler holes of the cartridge are


located under the top plastic cover cap. Use a
thin phillips screwdriver to prise open the cover.

Filling the ink into the center correct color hole


of each ink chamber. Be careful NOT to refill
the ink into the wrong color chamber.

After refilling check the original ink outlet


with a dry paper towel to ensure that ink is
flowing.

Replace the prised top plastic cover into


its original position and seal firmly with the
Scotch tape.

Pierce the needle into the top small hole


of the cartridge. Do not over fill with ink
as it might leak.

Using a dry paper towel to check if the ink


flowing from the original ink outlet before
inserting the cartridge into the printer.
