Dos and Donts

1. Package: We are not supposed to reveal the package of any company.

The packages differ from college to college. Hence, any information given might
turn to be a set-back to the institution.

2. Number of recruits: This is also confidential. As it is subjective to

strength of students, the number always varies, which might mislead the
aspirants.

3. Student wise - Placements: The information on which student is

selected in what company, has to be maintained confidential. This is the time,

when B-Schools start approaching HRs. Hence, we might lose the competitive
advantage (among 5 siblings), if this is shared.
However, we should thrust up on a few areas.

a) Academics: The academic rigor in IIM Raipur is unprecedented (among its

siblings). With 24+ in-house faculty and 24 subjects to be studied in 1st year, it
makes us distinct. We also offer highest electives in 2nd year.

b) Student Exchange: Highest among the crowd. With 10 international

partners and more than 18% students provided with opportunities, it again
makes a difference

c) Placements: We can share about the average figures, top 25% and top
50%. International offers can be disclosed, but not the number of students
selected. We are the first new IIM to complete 100% placements.

d) Campus/Infra: Again, 1st new IIM to start the construction process,

formalizing tenders etc. hostel-in-campus advantage can be mentioned!

e) Students: We also need to focus on the diverse and elegant profiles we

have in our batch. IITians, NIT, DU alumni etc., various backgrounds, average
work-ex etc. B-School events like Deloitte Maverick, Tata Crucible, Yes Bank
Aspire etc.

f) Institute: TedX, HR Summit, GSMC, Women Confluence and other

corporate engagements. We can mention about President, RBI Governor, CEOs

and many elite dignitaries visiting the campus.

Faculty: 25 Permanent + 65 Visiting (includes faculty from Top IIMs and Other
Top B-Schools, Corporates)
- Placement: The first New IIM to achieve 100% placement for the Final Year
Batch 2013-15. Average Salary for the batch: 11.12L; Top 25%ile: 14.27L; Top
50%ile: 12.86L
Student Exchange Programme: 10 International Partner Universities;
Outgoing Students: 24 (Highest amongst all New IIMs).
International Accreditation: AACSB & EFMD
International Events: ICSM, ICHL, TEDx, HR Summit, GSMC, Equinox &
Sunburn.
- Infrastructure: Having all the facilities under one roof is a boon rather than
a curse (There is a very special pleasure in having classrooms just one floor
below your room - you can wake up and be present in class in under five
minutes!). We have a large cricket ground, basketball court, tennis court,
badminton court, table-tennis room, volleyball court, a well-equipped gym,
24-7 geysers and washing machines, a state-of-the-art auditorium, a roundthe-clock canteen and 1 GBPS broadband internet Wi-Fi facility available
anywhere within the campus.
