A COMPARATIVE EVALUATION OF ROCURONIUM AND SUXAMETHONIUM FOLLOWING

RAPID SEQUENCE INTUBATION IN EMERGENCY SURGERIES.

ABSTRACT
AIM: Aim of this study is to compare the intubating conditions of Rocuronium with
Succinylcholine at 60 secs in emergency surgeries following rapid sequence
intubation.
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY: To compare the intubating conditions following
administration Rocuronium at a dose of 0.6 mg/kg with Succinylcholine at a dose of
1.5mg/kg in emergency surgeries.
To compare haemodynamic response to intubation after administration of
Rocuronium with Succinylcholine at 60 secs following rapid sequence induction.
To note any adverse effects associated with administration of Rocuronium.
