This week we are learning:
Circle Time Review
Because of the hustle and bustle of
last week, and our shortened week
this week, circle time will be used as
a review for vocabulary we have
covered thus far in the term.

Catch up week

Activity Time:
There will be no new vocabulary added this week due to the shortness of
the week. Instead we will be using this time to catch up in our number books and
begin our Phonics workbooks. In our phonics workbooks students will be tracing
letters, similar to those of the Jolly Phonics worksheets. This is a very important
piece of our term as all students will be passing on to K2 after the term finishes
and will be relied upon to do much more writing than they had in K1.

Phonics
Review
This week students will continue to
work on their blends.
1. ag, go, up, ub, if, of, la and on
2. ad, am, et, en, ic/k, im and ha.
3. as, an, ap, at, it, in, ip.

New (letters/sounds/vocabulary)
There will be no new sounds this week due to the three days we will be missing
Parent Follow Up / Useful
due to holidays.
Websites / Homework:
Practicing at home with you
children on how to write/draw
letters will give them the strength
and confidence to perform well
Writing Practice
now and in the future.
Students will be doing a lot of
writing this week, both in their
number books and at the
beginning of their phonics
workbooks.
