Since we had been planning and discussing about the Farm visit Eiffad became a different boy

very happy and chatty. He told me that his mum wouldnt be able to come because his baby
brother is still too little. Usually Eiffad is a quiet and gentle boy who is a great observer. We had
been working for Eiffad to build on confidence and develop language skills.
I have noticed that Eiffad had been showing enthusiasm about this farm visit. When Eiffad is in a
good mood, he became very chatty and talkative, dance with excitement. That good mood took
over him on the farm. When we arrived at the farm we sat together and enjoyed our morning tea
first, then we divided into two groups for the guided tour. Eiffad and Khizer was in my group
including a few other children. I was responsible for them because Eiffad and Khizers parents
couldn't come. Eiffad was reminding Khizer again and again to hold hands. I was so happy that
Eiffad was in my group. Everywhere we went Eiffad was talking nonstop, e.g. Teacher Rosy, look
at that, What animal is that?, Khizer is not listening, Can I do that?, Can I go there? etc.
Eiffad showed his caring side when he saw some children were grooming a little horse. He just
went there and affectionately put his arms around the horse. Later he found a brush and started
to brush the horses fur and chatting away at the same time. He was very happy to feed the sheep
gave bunny rabbits a cuddle and chased the chickens who came to have lunch with us.
At the hen house the tour leader showed us that some hen laid eggs and those were still there.
When Clair gave Eiffad two eggs to hold on, he was very excited and said, Teacher Rosy, Look,
the eggs are still warm.
So I have no doubt that Eiffad was very happy to be part of the group and this farm visit
experience boosted Eiffads confidence of using his language. He also gained knowledge and
understanding of both his own environment and the wider world.

The learning objectives of the farm visit was:

-Develop an appreciation, respect and enjoyment of
the natural world,
-Opportunities to learn about and take responsibility
for animals.
