Word Segmenting: Play word segmenting game given


Nonsense Words: Lucky words (write words on whiteboard)
Letter Names/Sounds: go through the list of upper and lower case letters. Have the students say the name of the letter and the sound it
makes. For vowels do the long and short sound.
Tally Marks: Give the students a number from 0-20. They should draw the tally marks. Then they should count the tallies.
Story Problems: Complete the worksheet. Encourage drawing a picture to determine the answer.
Read Numbers: go through the list of numbers and have the students practice reading the numbers.
Skip Counting: Students practice skip counting out loud; They can learn how to do it by using a number line or whisper counting. Goal is
to do it without number line or whisper counting.
