The Chula Vista Police Department is aware of and is monitoring both the investigation and the federal indictment issued against you individually and VC Cardroom, inc. dba Seven Mile Casino. We also understand that Seven Mile Casino was served on December 9, 2015 with an Emergency Order by the Chief of the California Bureau of Gaming Control, Department of Justice ordering Seven Mile Casino to immediately suspend and cease all gambling-related activities and to close the establishment. The Emergency Order was issued to other operators of State Gambling License Number GEGE-000466 for Seven Mile Casino including, Elizabeth 1 Souza, Maile S. Lee (Souza-Bridge), Francis Burger, and Harvey and Bette Souza Living Trust. ‘As you are aware, the ability to operate Seven Mile Casino as a cardroom in the City under your, local license is controlled by our Gaming Plan and is contingent on several factors, including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, or permits, As we receive additional evidence and information, we will be assessing the situation to determine whether and on what terms the Seven Mile Casino may continue to operate in the City. In the interim, please be advised that prior to recommencing any gaming operations in the City under your local license, you must present to the City satisfactory evidence that the California Bureau of Gambling Control has removed its December 9, 2015 Emergency Order and has authorized a continuation of gambling-related activities for Seven Mile Casino. Please also provide information regarding any ongoing limitations or conditions to operations that may have been placed by the Bureau of Gambling Control on the Seven Mile Casino.
