Summary/Reflection: Learned the different features to be able to upload different

files and how to do voice overs. The recording can be done with or without the face
of the instructor. I am not sure how a presentation that is made now with the login
information can be used in many different semesters. I am planning on doing an
introductory video showing students where the different items such as the syllabus,
course modules, discussion board, My Grades tab etc are located. I would like to
use the same video for each of the three different classes that I am teaching. I am
hoping that the audio recording on my laptop will do the job.

Name of Second Module Completed: Voiceover Powerpoint

Summary/Reflection: The presentation was very helpful and again I am hoping that
my laptop will be able to record my voice to overlay on the powerpoints. The video
was very thorough and easy to understand. I am just hoping that is goes that easily
when I actually put the voice over on.

DCS is now really pushing instructors to do more and more for each of the classes
but there has not been any monetary incentive given for the extra time it takes to
prepare all of the different lectures, not to mention all of the time it takes for
grading. Compensation for all of the extra work going into preparing and teaching
online classes really needs to be brought up especially with the low amount of pay
given to adjuncts already.
