Crochet basket inspiration Ikea

Size: as needed, pattern is for rectangle size 16x14x6cm

Material: holdovers of different yarns, original is made
from Czech yarn Katerina /60% cotton, 40% acryl/ Toptex.
Crochet hook size 3, needle
Difficulty: very easy

Pattern: all basket is crochet only from single crochet

We start with 8 chains.
1.row: 1chain, in each chain one single crochet. In last chain of row 5single crochet. Continue
with single crochet around other side, in last chain of row make 4single crochet. Row ends
with slip chain.
2.row: 1chain, single crochet and in the end of row where we have 5 single crochet we crochet
1single crochet in first, 2single crochet in second, 1single crochet in third, and 2single crochet
in fourth, 1single crochet in fifth, continue with single crochet and in the end of row repeat:
1single crochet in first, 2single crochet in second, 1single crochet in third, and 2single crochet
in fourth, row ends with slip chain
3.row: now we have made four corners / They are made by two single crochet in one single
crochet last row/. 3 row and all next rows start with chain /instead of first single crochet/ and
continue with single crochet up to the 2single crochet in corner, there still repeat 2single
crochet.
When reach size, our model has 16cm, we stop making corners and crochet in row with single
crochet. When we reach 9cm / 3cm is roll edge / finish work with slip chain.
