11. The Department of Education, Division of Davao del Norte will conduct the 2025 DIVISION SCIENCE
[AND MATHEMATICS QUEST on October 10 & 17,2015 at Carmen Central Elementary School SPED
Center for elementary ané Carmen National High School for Secondary, Carmen, Davao de! Norte.
2, The theme of this activity is “Sclence and Mathematics: Go Global, Go for Excellence Throus!
Research and inventions to Save Mother Earth.” This activity aims to’
1. promote academic excellence in science and mathematics through contests, camaraderie and
sportsmanship;
bb. hamess the knowledge, skill and values of science club leaders, students, teachers/coordinators
and science enthusiasts to cope with and apply the developments and advancements in science
and technology;
‘c. enhance the knowledge and skills of students and teachers through mathematics and science
‘ui, fair, and Scl-Dama contests

Participants are expected to bring the following:
4.1 Quizzers - paper & pen; for Science - bring 1/8 illustration board
4.2 Sci-dama/Damath ~ board, chips, timer, calculator, ballpen, etc.
4.3 Rubik’s Cube ~ rubik’s cube
4.4 On the Spot- % illustration board, pastel
45 Collage — X illustration, extension wire, glue gun etc. ( Waste materials will be provided)5. Arregistration fee of Fifty Pesos (P $0.00) shall be charged to each contestant, teacher coach, school
head contestant, adviser, coordinators to defray the cost of testing materials, medals and other
incidental expenses incurred during the conduct of the activity.
6. The participants for SIP & and SIM were advised to submit their manuscript on October 2, 2015
(Friday), in three (3) copies, attn. : EPS Labasan. Failure to submit the papers on the scheduled date
shall not be accepted anymoreThere will be also a pre-registration on the same date by the SCAAD
Officers and on October 9, 2015 will be the last day of registration at Carmen Central SPED Center,
Carmen District, still by the SCAAD Officers.
7. The travel, registration fee, and other incidental expenses incurred by the participants shall be
charged to school MOOE and other sources of funds such as PTA, Municipal LSB and Science and
Math Club Funds, subject to its availability and the usual accounting and auditing rules and
regulations. Participants from the private schools shall make financial arrangements with their
respective school authorities for the payment of the registration fee and other related expenses.
8. Deped Officials & teachers will be granted service credits/ compensatory avertime credits (COC) for
rendering services during the said activities that fall on Saturdays.
9. The Science and Math Coordinators of both elementary (district) and secondary schools together
with the working committees were advised to attend the meeting on October 9, 2015, 8:00 am at
Carmen Central SPED Center for the finalization and preparation of program and other facilities to
be used on the different events.
10. To ensure the continuity of the lessons, the coordinators and members of the working committees
shall prepare their lesson plans ahead of the schedule and turm-over the same to the teachers
assigned by the school head to ensure for the compliance of DepEd Order 28, 5.2011.
