Chamber Singers
Performance Critique
For one of my performance critiques I saw, I went and saw Heritages
performance. They song a bunch of songs, but overall, they were not all that
great. They had some good songs, but they were very screechy, especially the
tenors, and there were hardly any consonants. Most of the time, the singers we
under pitch. Also, you could hardly hear the altos, they were really quiet. The
men were really screechy, and lacked consonants and had mediocre vowels.
Close to the end they sang Bethlehemu, a Nigerian piece, which was probably
the best song of the night. They had soloists and percussionists, and was
probably the song in which they felt the most unified and had the most balance.
This concert was bland and mediocre, and frankly wasnt all that great.
