RESSURECTED

She slowly backed away on the hot sand, looking up with

squinted eyes. She winced in pain as the sand left a scar on her
palm. Whats a giant dragonfly from a few million years ago
doing in a desert? She wondered, but she didnt have time to
panic, she cant anyway; every last bit of strength was drained
out of her.
The enormous creature closed in towards her and landed
steadily, its hairy feet sinking slightly because of its heavy
weight. Then she felt a voice echoing loudly in her head.
Your next quest, it said, is to find the village of Raega and
help them.
She watched helplessly as the dragonfly buried itself into
the sand. She wished she could do that herself. She closed her
eyes and buried her head in her knees. Her eyes hurt terribly.
No, her whole body hurt. She was going to lose, she was going
to lose the Grand Magic Games, and bring shame to her village.
I dont care. She thought to herself. I give up.
She cant find any hope. She the enthusiasm she had a
month ago, and was sinking deeper into a black hole. Why did I
even volunteer to join? She questioned herself a hundred times.
But suddenly she heard the familiar deep voice again, this time
rather faint. Before giving hope to others, never lose hope
yourself.
She felt sudden warmth spreading throughout her body.
Thats right, She forced her eyes open. I can find light
anywhere if I want to.
And with that renewed determination, she stood up without
fear.
