Summary
I AM SECOND is the collection of interviews from 20 different
people. Though there isnt one set storyline, the book is categorized
into different sections.
Each person shares their life story and the struggles theyve had
along the way. The interviewees ultimately tell the audience how
they became Christians.

Theme Development v. Story Development

Becauses I AM SECOND is a
combination of 20 short stories, it is
impossible for a plot to develop.
The overall theme is able to show
itself through the entire book much
easier due to the lack of a story line.
Theme: It is difficult to be happy
when people put themselves first in
life.
