1.

A transducer is important in electronic instrumentation because in electrical system,

the input signal can sometime be a non-electrical signal. A transducer is used as it can
convert a physical quantity into its corresponding electrical signal to be measured
using electrical methods.

2. Five kinds of accuracy required for measurement is fundamental transducer parameter

which is the type and range of measure and sensitivity. Second, is the physical
conditions which is the mechanical and electrical connection, mounting provisions
and corrosion resistance. Third is ambient condition that are non-linear effects,
hysteresis effects and frequency responses. Forth kind of measurement accuracy is the
environment condition which are temperature effects, acceleration, shock and
vibration. The final accuracy requirement is the compatibility of the equiqment which
are zero balance provision, sensitivity tolerance, impendance matching and insulating
resistance.

3. The basic principles of telemetry system are the transmission of data for monitoring
and control over long distance. For long distance, telemetry converts DC voltage or
current to audio tones and send them over wire. This is called modulation and the
reverse action is called demodulation. Modem is the device that performs this action.

4. Analog data system is used when wide bandwidth is required or when lower accuracy
can be tolerated. Digital data acquisition is used when narrow bandwidth and when
high accuracy is required. Digital data acquisition is are more complex than analog
data acquisition, but both in terms of instrumentation involve and the volume and
complexity of input data they can handle.
